About This Race

Pee Wee’s Run was named after KC Mothers in Charge Founder and Executive Director Rosilyn Temple’s son, Antonio “Pee-Wee” Thompson, who was found murdered in his apartment in 2011. This annual 5K will kick off National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a week dedicated to promoting victims' rights and honoring crime victims. Pee Wee's Run will benefit KC Mothers in Charge, a nonprofit organization that provides support for families who have lost someone due to homicide.
